Pouneh holds a Master of Scoring for Film and Visual Media from Pulse College – Dublin Institute of Technology, as well as a First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Classical Music from the University of Tehran’s College of Fine Arts.

She began her career composing for a wide range of theatre productions, where she developed a deep appreciation for dramaturgy and the art of tailoring music to performance. In June 2011, she was honored as one of “30 Voices: The Most Successful Iranian Women in the World” in Los Angeles. Her artistry has also been recognized with the German Federal Education and Training Scholarship, one of the country’s most prestigious awards.

As an educator, Pouneh brings nearly two decades of experience, leading ensembles, teaching music classes, and offering private instruction. Her background also includes work as an actress in feature films, enriching her understanding of performance and storytelling.

Her transition into film and visual media scoring led her to collaborate at the renowned Windmill Lane Recording Studios, where she worked alongside some of the industry’s most acclaimed composers and orchestrators, including Christopher Young (Spiderman 3, Drag Me to Hell, Jennifer Eight), Conrad Pope (Star Wars, Harry Potter, Schindler’s List, Pirates of the Caribbean), Andy Hill (Former Vice President of Music Production at Disney), Garry Schyman (BioShock), Tommy Laurence (How to Train Your Dragon, Captain Marvel), Rick Taylor, Christo Pavlov, Dr. Garrett Sholdice, and Dr. Linda Buckley.
